Outdoor Events

Protecting your event from the air

EventWatch is suitable for all types of large-scale outdoor events. By providing a vital rapid response to potential incidents across your location, we enable you to oversee your site completely.

How do we work?

We work in collaboration with your safety team and Event Control Room. They monitor communications from safety teams and video feeds from a number of fixed CCTV cameras. Still, it is impossible to cover the whole of a large event site, so CCTV tends to focus on entrance/egress points and anticipated high traffic/high risk areas. EventWatch offers added visibility via a rapid in-air response.

If there is a potential incident unfolding or a safety or security concern, EventWatch will be deployed to offer an aerial view of the situation so that organisers can have live video feeds relayed to the control room of almost any external area. We’ll use our drone’s wide angle and zoom cameras, thermal imaging, target tracking and precise GPS location to feed back to the Event Control Room so that they can organise the appropriate response.

We are your eyes in the sky.

The Purple Guide

The Purple Guide offers practical guidance and is regarded as the primary source of reference for event organisers and licensing authorities. Chapter 27 deals specifically with the use of drones at events and provides a good source for further information.

RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival

Attracting around 120,000 visitors and stretching across 31 acres, the Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival is the World’s largest flower show.

EventWatch provided their responsive event safety and security service to the event, collaborating with the event control room to offer aerial visibility and support during show hours.

Our pilots deployed drones within a minute of instruction, relaying live video feeds to the control room to enable effective liaison with ground staff during potential incidents.

"Eventwatch augmented our control room facilities at the 2024 RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival, safely providing high quality live images directly onto our screens. The drones enabled us to see areas previously invisible to us, including car parks and access routes up to a mile away from the show site.

Chris and Kevin deployed on request, helping the control room to monitor crowd movements in congested areas, and in one case located a casualty and guided the medical response team to the right place, saving vital minutes.  The quality of the images was astounding. We hope to work with them at our shows in 2025 and beyond."
